The Whole Day

Pale pink petals falling together and apart in the sun, showing their passing beauty.
In the sweet ocean of fallen petals, blossom trees growing greener into the leafy season.

At lunch time
drinking fermented liquid,Japanese sake,
we were afraid the left-over onigiri would rot.

"What's the distinction between fermentation and rottenness?"
Occured an amusing question.

"The former good for human life.
The latter good for nothing."
Came a clear answer.

"Food itself dosen't know which way it's going."
Followed another remark.
Pleasantly we agreed.

"Fermented" color inside trees burst out pink
to entertain us after one year's silence.
The rotten petals and leaves help fertilize the soil
to raise trees in a full circle.

Our "fermented" selves have grown mature since birth?
Wishing our rotten part,if any,to enrich our background
for some good.

Hearing rippling brooks, bathing in the green shower, down, down the route to our last stop.
Young leaves and prime blossoms lighted up,bonfires burning by the water, chicken smoking on the red charcoal.
